Forte Media Productions® is pleased to announce "Introduction to French Horn", the premiere DVD in the Professional Music Instruction (PMI) Series featuring Dr. Willard Zirk, Professor of Horn at Eastern Michigan University. "Introduction to French Horn" is a DVD-based interactive program created specifically for beginning French horn students and is designed to reinforce classroom instruction and encourage home practice.

This exciting new instructional DVD is developed for use both in the classroom and by individuals at their own pace. Students have access to over three hours of presentation and detailed demonstration of fundamentals, accompaniment for play-along exercises, instructional voice-overs, musical terms, instrument care, and history of the French horn. Also included are listening and rhythm games and exercises to help students refine these skills.

"Introduction to French Horn" provides students and teachers a non-linear approach to learning using clear menu navigation that allows for easy repeat and practice time by eliminating the need to rewind or fast-forward the program as required with VHS formats.

In addition to the DVD, students and teachers will have additional support through a Web site providing interviews with professionals in the music industry, self-testing, and database management of students' test results that can be forwarded to their teacher.

The Professional Music Instruction Series will be a comprehensive suite of instructional DVDs that incorporate both state and national curriculum requirements. The series will be expanded to the full line of band and orchestra instruments as well as choral, dance, and theater disciplines.
